This was the first week of after school. I use to do after school tutorial all the time. I forgot how hard it is to stay after for an extra two hours teaching.  I teach second grade but, they needed me to teach kindergarten. I have taught kindergarten but, that was about 10 or more years ago. I forgot how they are at the beginning.  I am using an interactive alphabet notebook. If you like it is by Crafty Bee Creations.

In my second grade class we did a close read on apples and how they change each season.  Then I bought apples for everyone and we measured them, counted the seeds, and ate them. It was a great time.

Today we did an activity with line plots and skittles. One of them commented that we should do more math  with candy.  Click on the link to get this activity from TPT by Tutelage Life.

I love Halloween! I have a lot of great activities in my TPT store for Halloween. We will be starting this activity next week. Students pick a subject and predicate that are dealing with Halloween. Then they record the sentence they made.

We were working on making ten when adding. We were going to use the ten frame in the math book. The problem was the chips were too big for the book. So, then I ran around and drew 2 ten frames on 20 desk. I the kids thought it was awesome. I got my exercise in!

We did some more activities from Amy lemons math pack. We made the double man. They turned out real cute and the students loved them!

The pool closed. I could have used a dip this week when the temperature reached in the 90s.

This best part of this week. I got a new car!
