Something Free

Here is an activity for odd and even numbers. It is on my TPT store for 2 dollars. I am giving it away free today. It is odd and even numbers in the hundreds.  Click on the picture to get it.

Can't Catch a Break!

I slipped on a folder at school.  My knee went out and I had to go to urgent care.  Nothing was broken. My students had to call the office because I couldn't stand. The students were very upset. I had to talk to them before I left.  I am proud of some of my fast thinking students who knew what to do.  I have been at home since last Thursday recovering.  I decided to make something because I can't do too much. Here is my newest item for TPT. I made this because my students take the MAP and there seemed to be a lot of prefixes and suffixes on the test.

I am back!

It has been awhile since I have been on my blog. My computer's hard drive crashed.  I lost all my information on it. I was lucky because our gym teacher knows a lot about computers and put in a new hard drive for me. It cost about 100.  Here is something fun for the holidays. I love making Christmas stuff.

Take a bite out of nouns, verbs, and adjectives

Join us by hopping through each blog and gathering lots of Thanksgiving and autumn freebies.  In each freebie you will find a picture of a pie with a word on it. That word will tell you something that teacher is thankful for.  Record all of the words on your recording sheet and follow each blog along the way so that you can enter the amazing giveaway at the end!

You may start anywhere along the hop, but if you would like to start at the beginning you may go here.  This is also where you will go in the end, for the giveaway!!

Five for Friday

My students were working on characters and setting. We read Click, Clack, Boo!  I typed up the definition for characters and setting and they glued it to their notebooks. Of course, I left it at home and had to write it out.  They drew and labeled the characters and the setting.

Here is a freebie for Thanksgiving.

Here is another one of my favorite Halloween books.

Five for Friday

This week was a short week with the students. We had Monday off and conferences on Friday.  We worked on open and closed syllables this week. I  made a Halloween center that the students worked on. Here are some pictures. It is available on TPT.

We were learning about nouns this week. I made this up for the class. It is free! Click on the picture if you would like it.

My daughter and I decorated the front yard for Halloween.

Here is another picture. The pictures aren't the best. I got all my Halloween decorations last year after Halloween at the half off sale.

Here is a picture of our cat, Jessie.

Five For Friday

This week was a long week. I was outside with my students and two of them collided. One of them had to get 4 stitches and the other had to get 6 stitches. The next day I had my evaluation. We also had a surprise evacuation drill where we walked to the church down the street. Of course I wore my shoes that were not for walking.  Last of all, we had picture day.

To end this week we had a field trip to the museum.

They have a dinosaur exhibit. This is a footprint from a dinosaur. My student wanted to lay in it so, I said go for it!

This is a picture of the city from a window in the museum.

I made this center for my students to practice open and closed syllables.

Five for Friday

1. I have been so busy with school that I haven't had time to do much else.  I did make a few new things for TPT.  Here is my newest product. We are getting ready to do ai and ay words in our reading series.

2. I made this product a couple of weeks ago because our math series is very old and has nothing about quadrilaterals. The series has been there as long as I have which is twenty years. What series do you recommend? We are going to get a new series next year!
